The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for the G2KR website www.g2kr.com, all associated subdomains, online services, and mailing lists. Except as set forth within this privacy statement, we do not release personally identifiable information about our members or visitors to our web site without their permission. Please note that G2KR reviews its privacy statement from time to time and that such statement, therefore, is subject to change. We ask that you bookmark and periodically review this page to ensure continuing familiarity with the most current version of our privacy statement.  

Information Gathered and Use of Such Information 

In certain areas of our web site — for example, when registering to become a volunteer diver with G2KR– we use a Google Form to request that you provide us with personally identifiable information (including first name, last name, street address, e-mail address, telephone number, zip code, and state information). G2KR’s diver registration process requires potential volunteers to provide us with their email address. At this time, we only use your email address to provide you with periodic mailings from G2KR, and we do not sell, rent or trade your email address to or with any third party.  We use your street address to send you volunteer rewards (t-shirts and stickers) if you are unable to pick them up in Monterey, California.  The inclusion of your email address on our email list, however, is voluntary, and a member can request removal from the email list at any time by following the procedures set forth below. In addition, limited data about your computer and your internet service provider is collected when you visit our web site. We only use this data to diagnose problems with our web site and/or server and to administer our web site. Although we have the ability to determine from an IP address a visitor’s internet service provider and the geographic location of his or her point of connectivity, we do not do so as a practice at this time. 

Registration by Children 

G2KR does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children (defined herein as minors younger than 16). Before registering for membership with G2KR, we ask that children have their parents read our privacy statement. 

Other Websites

Our web site contains links to other web sites. These links are provided solely as a service to G2KR members. G2KR is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites, including such sites’ use of any information (such as IP address, browser type or operating system) collected when visitors to our web site click through links to such other sites. Even though such information may not identify you personally, we strongly encourage you to become familiar with the privacy practices of such other web sites. 

Reservation of Rights

We cooperate with law enforcement agencies, as permitted by law, in identifying those who may be using our servers or services for illegal activities. We also reserve the right to report any suspected illegal activity to law enforcement individuals or entities. 

Security

Visitors to G2KR’s website are protected by a secure server environment. G2KR uses industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption for the secure transfer of sensitive personal data between your web browser and our web servers, which are stored off-site in a physically secure, locked hosting facility with limited access. G2KR uses the third-party site GoFundMe to collect donations.  GoFundMe uses Stripe to process credit card transactions.  No credit card information is stored on GoFundme or on the website. 

Choice/Opt-Out

If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, please use the “Unsubscribe” link in the footer of the email, or email action@g2kr.com with the subject ”Opt-Out” in the email header. We will promptly remove you and your information from the mailing list.
